Bechdel Test Movie List

The movie, which is beautiful to look at and is about a friendship between a male and a female characters with no romance involved, has three important female characters, and therefore passes the first test.

They are Célestine, the protagonist mouse who befriends the bear Ernest and defies the rules of both mice and bear societies; The Grey One, an old mouse who teaches the young to be afraid of bears; and Lucienne, a bear that owns a teeth shop because teeth are really important in these societies.

The film passes the second test, because very early in the movie Célestine, The Grey One and other less important female mice talk about bears. It is dubious whether the movie passes the third, though, because a killer bear could be female or male, but it is clear that we aresupposed a male one like Ernest.
