You can say this movie has three women.
1. The wolf who adopts Mowgli, but she doesn't talk.
2. A lady elephant, who's awesome and wants to take over her husband and be at the head of the herd.
3. The little girl Mowgli sees at the end.

Nimravid disagreed with the rating and said:
Neither the wolf nor the girl have names in the movie (though she's not named on imdb, the elephant's name is Winifred, see the linked review.) So it doesn't actually pass even the first test using the "at least two named characters" rule. There are many named male characters (Mowgli, Shere Khan, Bagheera, Baloo, Kaa, King Louie, Colonel Hathie, etc.) but the girl is "the girl;" she only gets a name (Shanti) in Jungle Book 2.
