Yea, this movie is really bad for female characters. None of them have any established personality at all. Santa's wife is a complete Mary sue. Bryony is just another elf, who only distinguishing personality trait is she loves to rap things. Chief De Silva and Gwen don't have enough screen time to develop any kind of personality at all.
It bothers me that in a movie written and directed by a woman we get 4 different male characters with relatable issues in their lives to resolve, and only token female characters.
