Bechdel Test Movie List

The women were all friends and discussed a common goal which was to find a wealthy man to marry and support them.

It passes all three. Of course it fails in spirit, but technically it passes. Qualifying dialogue follows.

Schatze: You got here fast. Did you take a cab?
Pola: I didn't have money. I got the Chrysler people to demonstrate the car again.
Schatze: The one with gold trim?
Pola: Was it gold? I didn't wear my specs.
Schatze: The one they sent for me had gold trim.

Pola: I'll call Loco.
Schatze: Loco who?
Pola: The girl I told you about, from Jersey.
Schatze: You didn't say her name was Loco.
Pola: It's what the models call her. It means crazy.
Schatze: That's what I know.
Loco (through phone): Hello?
Pola: Bingo.
Schatze: Hold that.
Pola: Just a minute.
Schatze: I can't live with a dame I never met.
Pola: You don't have to. I'll just ask her over. If you don't like her, that's the end.
Schatze: Is she class?
Pola: Is she? She's been on Harper's Bazaar three times.

Pola: How much money you got?
Loco (through phone): I've got a quarter.
Pola: Wonderful. Stop on your way and pick up something for lunch for us.
Loco: How many?
Pola: Three.
Loco: Okay, as soon as I get something on.
