Bechdel Test Movie List

The main character is a young woman, Rhea (played by Zosia Mamet), who coming of age. She has a strong-minded mother (Virginia Madsen) and grandmother (Olympia Dukakis). The premise is that these woman are from a long line of women who have special abilities that manifest in their late teens. Many of the conversations in this movie are between two or three of these women about the young woman's abilities and future. (It is a lot more interesting than I am making it sound.) There are two main male characters--the young woman's father (Aidan Quinn) and a boyfriend (Sam Underwood)--but most of their conversations are about Rhea too.

I liked the film but felt it could have been better cast for the lead character Rhea. Meets all the criteria and is the best representation of a earth based religion I have seen yet(aka real life witches).
