Two women in a (now coed) men's bathroom discuss literature (written by a female author) while the main character Don is using the urinal. Don is silent (and confused as to why women are using the bathroom as he was unaware it had become coed) both women are unfazed by his presence and ignore him. As there is only one stall one of the women tells the other to "Use your parlor trick," this woman then uses the urinal next to Don who actively looks the other way. Both women leave still discussing their previous topic, again without addressing or acknowledging Don. The woman using the urinal is a major character in the story. This is only the first time the film meets the Bechdel test, there are numerous other instances.

Randomlybold,
I think that scene doesn't count because one of the girls is not a named character. I haven't watched this movie in a little while but I think you're right that women do talk to each other later on. Can anyone remember an example?
