1- Jill and Joanna argue with their parents, saying that they'd rather stay home with their friends during the summer.
2- The girls aforementioned inquire about who lives in the lighthouse. Already at bed, they imagine how it must be to live all by themselves.
3- May talks about the lost bird, and tells her daughter that it went in search of its family, and that she wouldn't like to live far from her family, wouldn't she?
4- Jill, Jo and May talk about their little bird, the noisy birds and that it all was a plan to trick them.
