Its funny the movie just barely passes because the series was a lot better about giving women major roles and good conversations. Actually Deep Space Nine was even better for making 3 dimensional women and writing them dialogs. Come to think of it maybe Voyager was better still. The captain was female and she had many interactions with the main cast and supporting cast.
