Maggie and Belle are mother and daughter. They talk mostly about the other two men in the family and, at some point, about Belle's love interest.

Although both are very interesting characters, they hardly ever speak of matters not involving men, either directly or indirectly (at some point they talk about love, but it's directly regarding sex with Henri).

The other few times they talk to other women, the characters aren't named, so it doesn't pass.

Saw this gem in the movie theatre; it immediately earned itself a place on my "Awful, Terrible, No Good" list. Oh - and there was the whole part where the women were painfully vapid and offended every sensibility I possess, as a woman that actually likes herself.

I know this doesn't fully pass the three tests, but I don't think the representation of women is negative in anyway. Maggie and Belle are badasses, if I may. Belle actually beats a guy up with a tennis racket and Maggie is an arsonist. When they talk to each other, they have very frank conversations - like when Maggie tells Belle to use a condom instead of being shy about the topic.

This movie passes. The mother and daughter have a handful of conversations about things other than men.
