The female main character, Dominique Francon, talks endlessly about architecture, personal freedom versus the community good, social issues, the power of money, beauty in objects... She even has a signed column in the yellow-press newspaper The Banner to express her opinions. The column is mainly about new buildings and architecture. However, she doesn't speak with other women, she speaks about these and other issues to males - her boss, her lover the architect Howard Roark, her employees, her first fiancé Peter Keating. There is at least another female character in the film: a wealthy guest at the inauguration party which says that she couldn't feel lazy and homey in such a modern building as the Enright building, but she has this conversation with men, and I don't think she's even named. Dominique listens to her conversation, but doesn't intervene.
