A story about the two children of glass-blower Albert (Stellan Skarsgård) and his wife Sofia (Pernilla August) who are kidnapped by the Emperor and the Empress. A nicely balanced cast with 5 of the 8 main characters being female (Klara, Sofia, Flaxa, Nana & the Empress) and only 3 of them being male (Albert, Klas & the Emperor). A very moving and nice little film.
