Ann and Lorraine have a short conversation right before the first audition, it's not exactly about a man although Lorraine makes a mock reference to "Sir Charles". Lorraine then talks to Peggy about her chances in the audition, about half of which is about whether she should tell Julian Marsh that she's new to Show business.
