There are a couple of conversations between important named female characters that almost pass the bechdel test. two are between Anna, the innkeeper, and the wife whose name I forget. the first almost passes (they're talking about the room that the wife is renting), but then Anna mentions her husband, so fail. the next is about the wife's suspicion that anna had a daughter who died, but the conversation is under 30 seconds, so one can hardly count it. the only other instance I can recall where named female characters talk to each other is when the wife is talking to one of the vampire daughters, but they're in a group of men, and they're talking not just to each other but to the men as well. So: 2 out of 3.

This movie is a clear pass. Here is the transcript of a conversation between Anna (Vera Cook) and Marianne (Jennifer Daniel):

M: thank you Anna, dear. Anna, you're crying
A: oh, Madame.
...
M: Anna, so you once have a daughter on your own?
A: why did you say that? It is not true. Why do you say it?
M: in sort... I only...
A: that will be the carriage, Madame.

It's a 3/3.
