Total, there are only three women who have any kind of speaking lines in this movie with multiple male characters who engage each other with fleshed-out dialogue. One is a vampire mother who is in the movie for under a minute, who says "Get away from my child" to a male detective. That's it. Then, there is a coroner who reads the death report/explains the details of the cause of death of a victim to a group of male homicide detectives, who only appears in the one scene. The last is a main character - Lucy Westernra: the love interest of one of the detectives. Out of these three, two speak for longer than a minute, and only one of them is named and relevant to the plot. None of the female characters speak to one another, at all. Not even unnamed female characters speak to each other.
