Lucy talks with granddaughter Rhoda about how she's changed with age. Rhoda talks with mother Anita about the grandmother's effect on her life. Anita talks with Mamie about work--Mamie is used to more time off before the grandmother arrives and is considering employment elsewhere. Lucy talks with Mamie about kindness, a gift, and time off from work. Anita and Lucy talk about Rhoda and parenting and the fact that Anita works.
This movie is a love story about a couple married for 50 years, and it is fantastic and devastating.
