Bechdel Test Movie List

The main character, Mary Katherine, and the queen, Tara (who is also a WoC), talk about the flower bud and how to return MK to her regular size again. There's also a little flower girl and her mother, who (while not named) talk to each other about the queen. The girl interacts with the queen as well.

The queen talks to M.K., but she doesn't even know the Queen is talking to her nor does she respond, therefore not a real conversation. Later Mary is shown a flashback of this, but they still don't really talk to each other. The conversation with the flower girl would be counted, but we are never privy to her name.

The queen and MK talk to each other when the queen dies. We don't know the little flower girl's name but she also has an exchange with the queen when she saves her plus she talks to her mother too even if they are not named it's a meaningful conversation about how one becomes queen.

They don't have a direct conversation together. Not just that but the queen, who is a WOC, dies in the first ten minutes and most of the "epicness" comes from the males. MK is completely disempowered and even mocked by the other characters for her perceived weakness in comparison.

I'm watching this movie now. MK and Queen Tara do indeed have a conversation after MK is shrunk, including Tara taking MK's hand and telling her to take care of the pod. Also, Tara dies 30 minutes into the movie, not 10.

Is it too much to ask that people review the movie before leaving comments?
