this movie has 3 named women in it, Emma watson, rihanna and mindy kaling. they all have pretty small parts, as this is a movie about the relationships of men together. they never talk to each other, mindys only lines are how she wants to sleep with michael cera, rihannas only lines are dont touch my ass, and emma watsons main scene is hearing the group of guys discuss which one would rape her 1st.(which is a misunderstanding about the trope of women believing that any group of guys in a survival situation turn into rapists). that being said, this movie is pretty rapey, there are a few rape jokes an attempted rape, and a couple of actual rapes, but only the man-man kind. overall though, this isnt feminist at all, but totally hilarious. seth rogans best work.

Definitely a guy movie - although two out of the handful of women in small parts in this film ward off men they perceive about to make an unwanted sexual advance by hitting them - very hard - and one with the end of an axe. At least the filmmakers make it clear they believe women have a right to their sexuality, and it's funny when someone gets hurt if they try to press the issue.

Rachel (my sister's name, btw :) ), you said it was funny that a strong woman took an axe to some d-bag for making advances, but you wouldn't say it was funny the same way if a guy axed up a woman for making advances on him. There would be outrage, right? We need to be careful about double standards like that in our rhetoric. I understand what you are saying completely, and the movie is hilarious. I absolutely loved it, but I can also see how one could justifiably call you out as a hypocrite because of that kind of double standard. I see too much of that kind of thinking on here. Equal means EQUAL. Feminism left all that militant crap behind in the 90's. If feminism is allowed to become arrogant again, we are losing ground. We gain through integrity.
