The film is a romantic comedy, so the women only talk about men with each other, but they do have a few long conversation.

Basically a two hour movie about realizing that women aren't complicated puzzles, but in fact are human beings that appreciate honesty and have their own thoughts and opinions. Don't be fooled by the outer layer of "love is what is important" that originally intrigued me. The women are disappointingly written- the female lead is the stereotypical "love skeptic" whose eyes are opened to the error in her ways by a charming womanizer. Her best friend is convinced that only a man will make her happy. The third minor female character- the only other woman who appeared more than once- is of course the cookie cutter high-profile woman who MUST be manipulated or she will NEVER notice the lower-class man that loves her (note the sarcasm.) At one point, Smith's character makes a rousing speech about how women never respond to a man "walking up to her and saying 'I like you'" and other men in the room agree. Hitch condemns women for not immediately falling into a man's arms if he has even the slighest feelings for her. It doesn't respect women as people. News flash: women are not here for men's entertainment. I guarantee that if a woman liked you, "walking up to her and saying 'I like you you'" would warrant an immediate and surprisingly positive result. But no, women have to be tricked into falling in love. It's the classic "good guys finish last" scam. Would not recommend for any feminist or decent human being.
