Hilda talks to Evelyn Clifford at her gift shop, ostensibly to buy a gift for her daughter, but really to acquire a music box that Evelyn has bought at auction, as part of Hilda's criminal scheme. A man is only mentioned at the end, as Sherlock Holmes has already purchased the box.
