A group of six female friends go spelunking in the Appalachian Mountains, where they're terrorized by humanoid ("differently evolved," you might say), cave-dwelling, carnivorous creatures. The women's conversations run the gamut: men, sex, relationships, athletics, survival, etc.

It is funny that although this movie passes the Bechdel test, it wouldn't pass if it was the opposite, that is, if it needed to have two named male characters that talk to each other about anything other than a woman. I don't think it even has named male characters, and if it does, they don't interact.

This passes with flying colours. Refreshing to see an all female lead cast. Nice to see it breaking so many boundaries in terms of horror etc. This is a tough watch and very well acted.
