Two reasonable sized female parts and one female bit-part, none of whom even meet each other.

Dana: Excuse me, this is the Ghostbusters' office?
Janine: Yes it is, can I help you?
Dana: I don't have an appointment but I'd like to speak to someone.
Two women, with names, who speak to each other. It could be argued that they speak about the Ghostbusters, who are men, but they're more discussing Dana not having an appointment to see 'someone' about her problem.

Mike nailed it; one could argue that they are talking about men (the Ghostbusters), but at the very least it clearly passes the second test.

Agreed with Mike, it passes the first two tests easily. Dana and Janine have a conversation. Third part debatable, but still potentially a pass as Dana is just asking to speak to somebody (she doesn't specify anyone in particular).

Jeanine and Dana are obviously named, and obviously female. The have a conversation, as listed above, that is about "the Ghostbusters," which is more obviously used as the name of an organization than as concerning any individual (male or female, despite the fact that only male ghostbusters appear in the film).
At the very least, two named female characters have a conversation. Whether it concerns the ghostbusters or a group of MEN known as the ghostbusters is a matter of interpretation (which is what the dubious tag is MADE for).
2/3 - 3/3 (dubious). The current 1/3 is simply ignoring the facts.

I would have to agree on the 2/3 rating it's obvious they do talk to each other.

1. It has to have at least two [named] women in it. [TICK] Dana Barrett and Janine Melnitz (whose roles are important and substantial enough to be reprised in a sequel).
2. Who talk to each other. [TICK] They have a conversation about the requirement for ghost busting services.
3. About something besides a man [TICK] The conversation is about requiring ghost busting services, not just a specific man or men in general.

This easily passes the Bechdel Test:
Two named women
That talk to each other
About something other than a man
Dana is talking about her apartment, which she thinks is haunted.

Ghostbusters passes the first two tests, but fails the third. She asks to speak to someone (which could be ambiguous), but she had previously seen a commercial on her t.v. that had the three ghostbusters on it which are all male. It is clear that she is referencing speaking to one of them.

Ridiculously nitpicky. It doesn't matter if Dana knows that there are men in The Ghostbusters, especially since the commercial doesn't show ALL the members (some of which could be women [Janine, for instance] for all she knows). She is not talking about men, she is inquiring about a company.

I've updated the rating from 2/3 to 2/3.

Robert Scythe disagreed with the rating and said:
Wait, upgraded from 2/3 to 2/3?? 3 posts have clearly shown that this should pass and get a 3/3. Is that what you meant or did you not actually upgrade at all.

Should be 3/3. Dana and Janine talk to each other about being at the correct business location and not having an appointment. Dana wants to speak to "someone" but doesn't specify any particular person. This checks out. It needs a passing mark.
