The only two significant female characters never meet or communicate.
While there is a single line where a nanny tells the child she's taking care of that things will be all right, the child doesn't respond.
It's also worth noting that those two significant female characters primarily exist in order to endanger the protagonist or to be threatened or harmed in order to manipulate him, and he treats them both with contempt and condescension throughout.
