Bechdel Test Movie List

The two named female characters in this movie have a couple of scenes together, however the most contact they have with each other is a fist fight. During one such scene, one calls the other a bitch (to which there is no verbal response), hardly qualifying as talking to each other.

I was planning to add this movie if I didn't see it listed. There were two women playing strong characters. They were on opposing sides, but they interacted throughout the movie and, being so strong, virtually carried the leading roles.

The point is the test, not the actual relevance of any character. And this movie failed it.

Bennie, Emilie, Ernie, Kristen, Melina. Definitely passes the first test.

The two female leads fight in a scene where Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) refuses to believe that his experience is a dream, or manufactured by 'Total Recall.'

Lori (Sharon Stone) tells
Melina (Rachel Ticotin) "fuck you" while they fight.

At the end of the fight, Quaid shoots Lori in the head and says "consider this a divorce."

The fight is about a man, Quaid, who just killed his only escape, and it's also about liberating Mars from the tyranny of Earth. Melina is a freedom fighter on the planet and her survival is paramount.
