It definitely passes. After Veronica Corningstone anchors the news for the first time she goes over to the other women at the news station about becoming the first female anchor, not about men, meaning it should pass the test.

The other women at the news station aren't named, as far as I know.

I just watched it for the first time. The original rating is correct. Veronica doesn't have a conversation with the (unnamed) women at the station, and they don't even converse with each other, they just make approving noises and a few comments like "That was great." Later, in the only scene in the film where two women actually do exchange lines with each other, it's entirely about revenge on Ron.

As an aside, I found the whole thrust of the movie pretty wearying. It's yet another "Men are immature but fun, women are more adult but they're prissy scolds who need to lighten up" movie like Knocked Up and so much of the rest of the Judd Apatow school of comedy, and most of the movie is watching a group of grown men bully a woman like they're 6-year-olds.

Kirstin Wiig's character speaks with (well, gets yelled at by, but she has lines too) her boss about how she's an incompetent receptionist, but (a) Brick is there too and (b) I can't remember if her boss is named.

Sorry, David. You're thinking of Anchorman 2.

All of you who say there aren't other women at the station who are named, you're wrong. Kathryn Hahn's character, Helen, works at the station.

This movie passes 3 of 3 tests:

ALICIA CORNINGSTONE speaks to DONNA, the tape girl:
"Donna, can I get that unedited tape from the cat fashion show I did a while back?"
Donna replies "Sure Ms. Corningstone"

1) Two named women
2) Speaking to each other
3) About a cat fashion show video

Passes clear and obviously.
