The main character, Theodora Lynn (Irene Dunne), talks with her aunts and with some other women in her town about how someone's daughter is doing and about a scandalous book (and maybe some other non-men related things). Some of the women also talk about Theodora's conduct (granted, it's her conduct with a man that's discussed in part, but they also talk about Theodora herself) and make plans for a fair or town event. The aunts exchange some lines as well between themselves.
