For example Renate Richer and Vivian Wagner talk about the presidents (a women) election campaign and nazi ideology. Vivian and the president talk a lot, but strictly speaking that doesn't count. The President, while a central character parodying Sarah Palin, is left unnamed.

I'm not sure why Vivian/the president's interactions wouldn't count!

Lots of significant interaction between named female characters - only one of whom talks to other women about the man (as opposed to 'the enemy').

A fantastic example of a movie that passes the test - without it being a militant feminist treatise or stereotypical chick flick.

There's also Vivian and Maclennan (the space cadet on board with Vivian, who wears a visible name tag) who discuss nukes etc.

The President definitely counts as a named character for all intents and purposes. It's like The Janitor in Scrubs, a major character with proper name being intentionally withheld for a reason.

'The President' is as much of a name as is 'The Doctor'. She is referred to by the name 'Madame President' and everyone knows who is meant by that name. So I really don't know why conversations between Vivian and the President shouldn't count.
