Anne and Lady Russell talk quite a bit about Anne's mother and how there was economy in the house while she was alive.
Anne asks Mrs. Croft if she was ever ill while traveling. Mrs. Croft gives a long account of where she traveled and how she enjoyed it.
Mary and Anne talk about how ill Mary is and the situation with her mother-in-law (how she gives the children too many sweets and is too indulgent). Anne then talks to Mrs. Musgrove, Louisa and Henrietta's complaints about Mary.
