This classic 1939 film passes the test within a few minutes of the beginning when Christine talks to her maid Lisette. At first they talk about men, but then Christine asks for her lipstick and a few sentences are exchanged on this subject. As this film is a comedy of manners the topic of love and relationships between the sexes is paramount so there are many examples where men talk to each other about women and vice versa. There are also other conversations where named women speak to each other about topics other than men, for example, hobbies, food and diseases.
