It was tender to see somebody who could be such a b***h complain about the rising price of milk, or getting confused about somebody who lives in South Africa. Her policies were anti-social and toughest than tough, but she was human nonetheless, and she was a woman who reached power and kept it for many many years. All women should be proud about her: after all she did it all by herself.
And she was married, so she may have been in love, and there was a man who fell in love with her. She had children, and loved them. For me, it was a shock to see her dancing with a man who was in love with her. So sad when he disappeared while watching the home films.

I wouldn't call Thatcher's daughter a particularly well developed character in the film. The real Margaret Thatcher was famous for her lack of close female associates (no women in her cabinet for most of her term). Of course, she did regularly speak to another woman, presumably about many topics, but these conversations weren't included in the movie.
