Most of the dialogue in this film is between the two main characters, a guy and a girl. However, there is equally strong character development of both. There are other characters that appear throughout the film of both genders and talk about other things yet most is about the romance of these two heterosexual people. That being said, much of the film focuses not just on their obsession with one another but about life's changes and how both characters realize new things about themselves as time goes on.
