Whilst from the same stable as all the other 'Carry On' titles, this has a refreshingly feminist plot and is quite a subversive take on the oeuvre.
It features a frustrated and neglected wife of a taxi firm owner, who decides to set up her own company in direct competition with that of her husband.
Whilst the implication that this all female enterprise, Glamcabs, gains market supremacy purely on the strength of the drivers' assets, it is also clear to the audience that the women manage to outsmart the men at every opportunity.
There is plenty of female dialogue centering around the goings on at Glamcabs and about taxis generally!
