Bechdel Test Movie List

It's similar to Aliens in that our lead character is a woman who is performing a similar role, and she talks to another woman in the film briefly (and separately) about the impact of discovering an alien spaceship, and discussion of the Thing itself. Sadly, only one of them survives the film.

I really liked how they handled the female characters, actually. I've read people get annoyed by the fact that the prequel has a female lead because there were no women in the original. However, the great thing is, the women here are just as intelligent and there is no romance plot whatsoever bogging down the story. Plus, it does not interfere with connecting this film with the original.

Plus, if you've ever seen the original, it makes sense that only one would survive, only because the story/stories pretty much go into kill everyone territory.

It's a good thing they had that scene between the two women early in the film, because

later on when they talk, one of them is not a woman any more. :)
