Since there aren't any comments on this film, I just want to stress what a huge pass it is. The movie, which focuses on three generations of a Chinese family living in Flushings (grandad being the only living male member of such), is about women and their relationships, both with men (lovers, fathers, grandfathers) and each other: grandmother and mother, mother and daughter, and grandmother and granddaughter all speak to one another about subjects including but not limited to men. Additionally, Wilhelmina is involved in a romantic relationship with ballerina Vivian, and discusses her love life with coworker Randi.
