Caroline is the love interest. One of the researchers identifies herself on the phone to Jacobs but I didn't catch her name in all of the background noise (Dr. Jacobs? This is ...?) Did anyone catch if she's the "Irena" listed on Imdb? Those were the 2 named human female characters.

I found a reference to "Lab Tech 5" being called "Linda" onscreen as an homage to Linda Harrison (Nova)in the original. So I assume that was the researcher on the phone even though she has no name on imdb.
