Of the three main characters, one is a woman (the other two being her husband and lover). There are also two more minor, named female characters throughout.

There are two scenes in which Mya talks to her neighbor Laura from across the hall, but each time it's about a man:

1 - Mya's husband, who's been waiting up for her; and

2 - A homicidal maniac who's chasing Mya down a hallway. (Mya knocks on Laura's door, begging for entry. Laura lets Mya in but doesn't shut the door immediately, stopping instead to comfort Mya. Each woman talks at one another, with the impetus for the conversation ultimately being a man. In more general terms, you could say it's the signal that made the man - indeed, everyone - crazy, and thus this exchange isn't specific to the man, but I think that's too generous an interpretation.
