Bechdel Test Movie List

These old Hollywood musicals are great fun and don't always get the credit they deserve. In this case, we have Irene Dunne as a Russian princess turned fashion designer, Ginger Rogers as an American jazz singer working in Paris under the stage name of a Polish countess, and Helen Westley as a British couturiere in Paris--and they all talk to each other about various aspects of their businesses. This is not to mention Claire Dodd, who is the evil bitch of the movie, to whom Irene Dunne sells a dress, although I'm not quite sure that qualifies.
