Named female characters include Chris Noel, Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Anderson. They never meet or have a conversation.
Since the plot takes place in an all boy's school with an all male staff, it would be really surprising if this passed the test.

Yeah this movie definitely doesn't pass the test. All the women in the movie besides the mothers were objectified or harassed. The only girls in the movie that were the same age as the boys were dumb or like Chris, were stalked and had all of her "no's" dismissed. She was kissed without consent and every time she told Knox to leave her alone he told her that she didn't mean it.

It’s not surprising that this film does not pass the Bechdel test as it’s set in an all boys film and follows the lives of a group of males at the school. While the women in this film aren’t portrayed in an overwhelmingly positive way, the film doesn’t seem very sexist and its lack of female representation is somewhat justified. Nonetheless, Dead Poets Society could have improved the few female characters that it did include and the way in which they were treated.

It did pass, which makes sense considering it‘s set in an all boys school. But surprisingly, it almost did! I’m a deleted scene at the Danburry’s house, Chris and Chet’s sister, Ginny, talk about Ginny auditioning for A Midsummer Nights Dream. Just a fan fact I though I’d share :)

While this movie does not pass the bechdal test, there was originally a scene of ginny danburry and chris noel discusses trying out for the play. this scene was deleted, but it’s important to note that it was originally meant to be there. (and even though there are moments where women feel abit objectified overall this movie isn’t offensive in my mind. besides the focus is on an all boys school, it’s harder to work in feminism than in most movies) but yeah definitely doesn’t pas star test.
