I believe this is a pass. Sandra and Connie, two named female characters, audibly converse about bread. Here's the transcript:
SANDRA (background)
...you want all of that chicken cacciatore for you, sweetheart?
(then, to Connie, who's cutting bread)
Oh, hey, that's enough bread!
CONNIE (background)
But I like bread!
SANDRA
Oh I know, but how much can you eat? (background)
It's corroborated in the script and in the film. You can watch the exchange at 5:00 in the YouTube video "The Godfather Food Scenes."

Hey Fathergod, you should be ashamed of yourself. They exchanged two background lines about bread, I have thus proved feminism is wrong well you can have this movie and your antiquated view of the world.

The Godfather does pass the Bechdel Test.
I agree with what Fathergod said earlier the exchange between Sandra and Connie Corleone qualifies under the original three criteria:
1. Two women
2. Who speak to each other
3. About something other than a man
The dialogue goes:
Sandra: Hey, thats enough bread!
Connie: But I like bread!
Sandra: Oh I know, but how much can you eat?
Its quick and in the background, but the Bechdel Test doesnt require the conversation to be central to the plot or substantial in length just that it exists.

A well made movie but its about the growth of organized crime in America, particularly with Italians, and thats a male-centric story. I am sure if you dug around you'd find plenty of examples of women engaging in or at least supporting organized crime, but that is not the story of The Godfather.
Whats funny is Harlem Nights is a comedy with lots of crass, sexist jokes but I think it actually has more women engaging in the actual story and not just sitting on the sidelines.

Will, I don't think Fathergod was trying to prove that feminism is wrong.
