While this movie does give us "The Penguin", Arethra Franklin and the song 'Sometimes it's Hard to be a Woman' no women talk to each other.

The first named women is indeed The Penguin (the name she is credited as, "Sister Maria Stigmata", doesn't seem to be used in the dialogs). The second isn't Aretha Franklin - that's her real name anyway, nor even her character, who is not named, but Mrs Tarantino (sic!), who directs the brothers to the church where Jake sees the light. The credits also have a "Claire" but I don't see who this is.

it fails the Bechdel test and also feminism in general. The one major female role is unnamed and she's trying to kill a man because he broke her heart. It was written by SNL alumni and is very male-centric, much like Ghostbusters and Waynes World and The Ladies Man. SNL itself did not really become pro-female until the late 80's or early 90's. Which is weird because they had female writers in season 1 and female producers in season 2.
