There are two major female characters in the film: Lois Riley and an underage prostitute Mallory. They do talk about Lois's husband Doug and their marriage, though the conversation tackles other subjects like the death of Lois's daughter Emily and some of Mallory's mysterious past, which includes her mom who also died in a car accident. Later, Mallory gets a yeast infection and Lois helps her, instructing her about things she needs to do in order to get rid of it.

Lois is also seen talking to her hairdresser, who talks about her grand-kids and moving away and her sister who comments about her state as a shut in.
