Lara talks to Mrs Kerner about something other than a man (Alex's lie about the fall of the Berlin Wall- arguably not about a man) for all of a couple of seconds. It's an important conversation but if you blinked you might miss it. Other than that the women spend most screen time being mothers, walking around with prams or shopping, being ill, sad, jilted or vulnerable and definitely not talking to one another.
