There are a few very brief instances of women talking: Grandma Lucille and Aunt Billy talk briefly over dinner (Lucille is asking Billy to pass her the gravy), and Mildred and Mrs. Harrington talk after the botched adoption interview. If you're not using the "named" requirement, in Lucille's memory of her wedding she's talking to her bridesmaids ("He's a lucky guy!"). That's an iffy one though because the two of them are talking to her but she doesn't respond, so if it requires a back and forth exchange, it doesn't count.
