Queen Elizabeth tells her two young daughters a story and talks to them about moving to their new home (Buckingham Palace). She also politely introduces herself to Mrs. Logue, who is flabbergasted to meet the Queen.

This is one of the most dubious passes of all time - if it does pass. We sort of overhear Queen Elizabeth telling a story to her kids but never see her doing it, the camera is on the King walking in to the room to interrupt them. Queen Elizabeth introduces herself to Mrs. Logue by referencing to how their two husbands informally refer to each other. When Mrs. Logue asks if the Queen is staying for dinner she ask the question to the room and looks at her husband during the question. The Queen does respond directly to her though and then leaves. Maybe that kinda sorta counts as talking to each other - but only by a technicality.

Jonathan is forgetting that it's in a different scene after the penguin story that the queen is talking to her daughters about moving. Either Elizabeth or Anne asks if there will be room for the toy horses in their new house, and her mother replies that of course there will be - it's a palace!

I don't think you can count that as "two [named] women talking to each other". They are very young children, clearly not women. That and jonathans other argument make me say the movie doesn't pass the test.

I wouldn't count the children as named since their names aren't said in the movie. Just because they are portraits of real people doesn't make them [named] women in the movie.

The young princess Elizabeth's name is mentioned in the movie. Geoffrey Rush points out to the king that, if his brother were to abdicate, he would become king and his daughter Elizabeth would succeed him. Even to a viewer who is living under a rock and is unaware of the identity of the current queen of England, this exchange makes it crystal clear that the elder of the two daughters, who do appear on screen elsewhere in the film, is named Elizabeth.
This one barely passes, but it does pass.

Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret are both named as such when their father tells them the penguin story. As was mentioned previously, their mother has conversations with them on two separate occasions and converses with Myrtle Logue. She also talks to Wallis Simpson, though it's specifically to note that she refuses to speak to her.

This passes. Queen Elizabeth has a conversation with Mrs. Logue regarding staying for lunch but politely declining.

I don't think the more passes the test. Some of the comments refer to the two daughters talking to their mother about the move they are about to experience but they are children and not women. The only other women that talk to each other are Queen Elizabeth and Myrtle Logue but they are talking about their husbands working together.

I agree that ELizabeth's conversation with her kids doesn't pass the test but the conversation that she has with Mrs. Logue does.

I believe this film does not pass the test. Elizabeth talks to Myrle but only about the fact that she and the king can't stay for much because they have somewhere else they need to be so he is included. The daughters talk to their mom about a story but they aren't women talking to another woman.
