"Sal" and her daughter "Trace" have a conversation at their holiday home in Bonnydoon as Trace does her mother's hair.
While the conversation starts off talking about Con (Trace's husband) wanting children and ends up with a concerns over Darryl (Sal's husband and Trace's dad) trying to save their house, the middle of the conversation covers subjects that don't directly involve a man (and have no bearing on the plot), such as friends that have had children and Sal's desire to take up pottery.
