Two killers, one has feelings for her partner. Amidst the talk about their male target and the hetero one's sort of boyfriend, there's a little bit about some hookers and their sniper rifle.

Truan disagreed with the rating and said:
They also talk to the receptionist about the whores leaving the building, not a man is mentioned. Shouldn't really be dubious

One of the killers also tries to get the receptionist to understand her feminist theory. Then again, the other one disguises as a hooker to kill their target, because apparently, "Pussy" is a woman's greatest weapon.

I agree with the rating, however, the scene where the two female assassins are in the cafe talking with their female "assassin consultant" should pass the test. Yes, they are talking about a man, but it is in the context that the man is their target, not a love interest. The fact that the assassins are female adds an extra dimension to their characters (e.g., the feminist theory in the above comment) that would not have been possible if these two assassins were male. My point is: the third point to the test ("3. about something other than a man") should be amended to say something like "3. about a subject other than a man who is the character's love interest".

OK, i stand corrected. I just read an article linked to this site. In it the author, who was a female Hollywood writer, was frustrated with the push-back she received when her female characters were talking about something other than a man. From her article:
"According to Hollywood, if two women came on screen and started talking, the target male audience’s brain would glaze over and assume the women were talking about nail polish or shoes or something that didn’t pertain to the story. Only if they heard the name of a man in the story would they tune back in. By having women talk to each other about something other than men, I was 'losing the audience'.”
So, y'know, I get it now.
