To the other Renee: Harry and Ron count as men. Thinking there must be other passing points in the movie..but I can't think of any.

Hermione and McGonagall don't talk about Ron and Harry, they talk about what happened with the troll.

Hermione: It's my fault, Professor McGonagall.

McGonagall: Ms. Granger?

Hermione: I went looking for the troll. I'd read about them and thought I could handle it. But I was wrong. If Harry and Ron hadn't come and found me...I'd probably be dead.

McGonagall: Be that as it was an extremely foolish thing to do.

Agree with Jessica, Harry and Ron are mentioned but the conversation is not about them.

I've updated the rating from 2/3 to 3/3.

Tarn disagreed with the rating and said:
The troll is depicted as male (nipples, broad shoulders, bald head, deep voice, big hands, upper body strength/club weilding). They are talking about a male troll.

Tarn: nipples, broad shoulders, bald head, deep voice, big hands, and upper body strength don't mean that the troll is male. Females have nipples, and having broad shoulders, big hands, upper body strength does not make a person/animal/person a male. And the books say that trolls grunt, so probably all trolls have deep voices.

It should be 2/3, the troll was male and harry and ron were mentioned in the conversation.

I agree it passes but not for this scene. It passes in herbology, Hermione answers a question about mandrakes.

Professor Sprout: Who here can tell me the properties of the mandrake root?

Hermione: Mandrakes, or mandgrogora, are used to return those who have been petrified to their original state. It is also quite dangerous - the mandrake's cry is fatal to anyone who hears it.

Beth - that was Chamber of Secrets, not Sorcerer's Stone.

So what, if two female characters are having a conversation about a cat (and the cat happens to be male), then that counts as them conversing about a man?

~N - no it doesn't, because the purpose of this is if everything is based around a man/men, in this case, it isn't based on a man - it's based on a cat.
