Has many scenes that pass the test. E.g. Kitty and Laura talk about Kitty's illness; Clarissa gives life-advice to her daughter Julia.

Out of curiosity, does this movie pass the reverse Bechtel test?

In response to robbie I don't think it does pass the reverse Bechdel test. All the named men pretty much appear on singly and only talk to one of the main 3 women in the film. There are one or two scenes where there is more than one man (Leonard Wolfe and his printing assistant) but they are never seen talking to each other. One exception is a shot from a distance where you can hardly hear what the two men say, but they are talking about Virginia, so it doesn't count.

Reverse Bechtel test:
Dan (Laura's husband) tells his son:
"You're never gonna be a big boy if you don't eat your breakfast. You're gonna be the big brother - it's a very important job." BUT the son doesn't respond to his Dad - so I think it still doesn't pass reverse test.
