Alia orders Ramallo to tell the Emperor who she is - this could be considered as a pass, but it's dubious. Otherwise, the only conversations between the fairly strong female cast are when Lady Jessica talks to the Reverend Mother about her husband and Paul and when Jessica and Alia talk about Paul.

There is a lengthy conversation between Shadout Mapes and Jessica with only tangential references to Duke Leto and Paul. 2 minutes of the dialogue are about other issues.

This rating and the other comments are wrong. I speak of the 2 hour normal edition not any weird long edits which are not official. Shadout Mapes has all of about 20 seconds of screentime in the normal cut and none of it is a conversation with Jessica.
This film deserves a special place on the "fail" list because the book passes and the movie doesn't, so they had to go to extra special effort to specifically remove Bechdel conversations from the book when making the movie.
They also put so much stuff in the movie that is not in the book, like a cat milking machine, a doctor obsessed with lancing boils, etc, etc, and yet they left out the Bechdel conversations.
