Ruff disagreed with the rating and said:
Um, is this rating for some other movie named "Jezebel" from 1938? 'Cause in the one *I* watched:

* Julie, Aunt Belle, and the dressmaker argue about the appropriateness of wearing a red dress to the ball.
* Several named female party guests gossip about Julie.
* Julie and Zette talk repeatedly about dresses (including Julie promising Zette her old one).
* Aunt Belle and Amy, then Julie and Amy, talk about the differences between New York and the South.

... and that's just the first half of the movie.

Yeah, this is a tough one. Most of those conversations Ruff mentions are indirectly about men--the dress conversations all vaguely reference Preston and the subtext of the Julie/Amy conversation is that Julie is trying to get Pres's attention by insulting Amy. Do you count the subtext, or what the conversation is *really* about, or do you just go by the words they are saying? Because this movie is all about women talking about men.
