Can this be amended to reflect the film’s original (and current, since it was just reissued on Criterion) “A Matter of Life and a Death”. It took me a while to find this entry and I wasn’t able to add an entry since it told me the IMDb link was already in use here.

Will disagreed with the rating and said:
I feel that the film, despite not being at modern standards in terms of female representation, was very progressive for the time in terms of female representation. Especially seen as, although it wasn't explicitly stated, God is represented as female. Something that may even be seen by some orthodox Christians as controversial in the modern day. There are many later made films that I have watched, some even made in the 21st century, that are much more sexist and misogynistic then this wonderful example of a Classic film
